TECHNOLOGY INNOVATION AND ORGANIZATIONAL OUTCOMES OF MANUFACTURING FIRMS IN KOGI STATE

Abstract This study focused on technology innovation and organizational outcomes of manufacturing firms. The study examined the effect of automated systems on production efficiency, and ascertained the effect of cyber-physical production systems on productivity. The study employed survey research design. The study adopted purposive sampling, selecting 230 small manufacturing firms in Kogi State, Nigeria. A linear regression was used to evaluate the raised hypotheses. Finding showed that automated systems have a significant positive effect on production efficiency, and that cyber-physical production systems have a significant positive effect on productivity. The study concluded that technology innovation play a pivot role in enhancing the organizational outcomes of manufacturing firms. The study recommended that manufacturing firms should consider implementing automated systems to enhance their production efficiency, and that firms should explore the integration of cyber-physical production systems.
